Learn more about using the DisĀcusĀsion tool!
In BrightĀspace there are three eleĀments that make up the disĀcusĀsion tool:
- Forum: A forum is like a conĀtainĀer for your topĀics. A course with disĀcusĀsions must have at least one forum for disĀcusĀsion to hapĀpen. A forum will be popĀuĀlatĀed with one or more topĀics. You can creĀate difĀferĀent forums for orgaĀnizĀing your disĀcusĀsion topĀics.
- TopĀic: The topĀic repĀreĀsents what will be disĀcussed. You may add as many topĀics to a forum as you wish.
- Thread: The first comĀment withĀin a topĀic begins a thread. StuĀdents and instrucĀtors can parĀticĀiĀpate in a thread by respondĀing to othĀers. New threads may be startĀed under one topĀic.
