Aug 27 — 1:30 — 2:30 pm An intro­duc­tion to Bright­space. Learn how to nav­i­gate key tools, set up your course, add mate­ri­als and com­mu­ni­cate with stu­dents. This ses­sion is aimed at instruc­tors who have min­i­mal or no expe­ri­ence with Bright­space. By the end of this ses­sion, you should know how to access your Bright­space cours­es, where to find dif­fer­ent tools and what they can do, and how to make your course vis­i­ble to stu­dents.

Aug 29 — 1:30 — 2:30 pm New to Bright­space Grade­book? This hands-on work­shop will intro­duce you to the basics of set­ting up and man­ag­ing your grade­book. Learn how to cre­ate cat­e­gories, enter grades, and pro­vide mean­ing­ful feed­back to sup­port your stu­dents’ suc­cess.

Sep 4 — 10:30 — 11:30 am An intro­duc­tion to Kaltura Vir­tu­al Class­room, NIC’s offi­cial web con­fer­enc­ing plat­form for instruc­tion­al use in all online class­es, cours­es, and vir­tu­al office hours. Learn how to access and launch meet­ings from both Bright­space and NIC’s Medi­a­Space, set up per­sis­tent meet­ing rooms, and use essen­tial fea­tures like screen shar­ing, break­out rooms, chat, white­board, and record­ing.

Dis­cov­er the basics of adding and man­ag­ing course mate­ri­als, cre­at­ing assign­ments, and fos­ter­ing effec­tive com­mu­ni­ca­tion with your stu­dents.
