All Bright­space, Kaltura video, Kaltura Vir­tu­al Class­room and relat­ed ques­tions should be direct­ed through the NIC Ser­vice Desk which will allow the prop­er rout­ing and sup­port to be giv­en to you. IT does some of the sup­port (e.g., cre­at­ing sand­box shells in Bright­space, gain­ing access to cours­es with dean/chair per­mis­sion, check­ing on stu­dent reg­is­tra­tion issues etc.) and CTLI helps with course design and use of the tools.

  • Hours: 9 — 4:30 pm — the staff typ­i­cal­ly are able to be booked and engage with peo­ple from 9 — 4:30 pm but can adjust their sched­ules if need be to attend ear­li­er or lat­er.
  • Months: Mid-August to end of June — the Cen­tre for Teach­ing and Learn­ing Inno­va­tion is open dur­ing work­ing days from late August to ear­ly July align­ing with the teach­ing sched­ule of most instruc­tors. Dur­ing July and most of August there may be some sup­port avail­able for learn­ing tech­nol­o­gy help.
CTLI Staff

As of Jan­u­ary 2025, the fol­low­ing staff com­prise NIC’s Cen­tre for Teach­ing and Learn­ing Inno­va­tion in alpha­bet­i­cal order. Since its incep­tion in ear­ly 2020, the com­ple­ment of staff has grown to 8.0 (FTE — full-time equiv­a­lent) as fol­lows:
